Tues., Thurs. 11am-12pm Tai Chi, Qigong, Tao Yin
Saturday: 9-10 Tai Chi, Qigong, 10- 11am- Tao Yin
Investment: (This is considered a specialty class at GRF. 6 classes a week)
$40- unlimited classes for the month for GRF members
$65- unlimited classes for the month non-members
(includes use of Locker Room.)
$5 per session drop in anytime
Tao Yin: Chinese Yoga for Revitalization, Health and Longevity
Predominantly mat work, gentle movement and meditation. You’ll learn conscious breathing to relax the body and gentle exercises that retrain and condition the spine and psoas muscle resulting in greater flexibility and whole body health.
Tai Chi: This is an easy to learn 13 movement practice that can be done anywhere. It helps to build balance, tone and strength and reinforces the immune system. It also helps balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
Qigong: (Pronounced Chee Kung) literally means: "Life Energy Cultivation") It’s a holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used to cultivate health and wellness. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi(chi), translated as "life energy"
